Migration and Integration: The Role of Local Authorities, policies and MIPEX benchmarking

The international research centre CARDET, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Pafos, Engomi, Agios Athanasios, Derynia and Agios Dometios, the University of Nicosia and INNOVADE LTD, and the support of the Migration Policy Group, organise the  International Conference, “Migration and Integration: The Role of Local Authorities, policies and MIPEX benchmarking”, in the context of the European Municipalities Network.

When: Monday, June 22, 2015, 09:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 

Where: Floor -2, Room Μ-203, University of Nicosia

The aim of the conference is to introduce to the public dialogue on migration the hidden role of Local Authorities, their practices, successes and challenges in managing migration within the community. Moreover, during the conference the policy benchmarking tools of the Migrant Integration Policy Index 2015 (MIPEX) will be officially launched, aiming to inform the ongoing debates on policy drafting and decision making in the fields of migration and integration, at the national and European Level.
