The “Return Network of Third Country Nationals - ReNet” has commenced its work and invites individuals and organizations to register and support its bid to promote the co-operation between stakeholders involved in forced and voluntary returns at the local, European, and international level. The project is being implemented with the support of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Commission and the Republic of Cyprus and registrations can be carried out through the Network's website: www.returnnetwork.org.
ReNet has been developed as part of the ongoing efforts of the European Union to support Third –Country Nationals (TCNs) to return to their country of origin. It responds to the need to set in place structures and approaches that, through extensive cooperation between all actors involved in migration issues, will facilitate this process ensuring a humanitarian approach and with full respect for human rights.
The project will run for 12 months and will work towards developing a collaborative framework for organizations and stakeholders in the field of migration as well as promote with the countries of origin of the TCNs. The implementing team also highlights that the information of the registered members will be treated as confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of operating the network, in accordance with the European Union GDPR regulations.
